Why the Storm Sorcerer/Tempest Cleric multiclass is the top dog in Baldur's Gate 3

As revealed in a recent Reddit discussion and corroborated by my own 100+ hour playthrough, the multiclass combination of Storm Sorcerer and Tempest Cleric is the most powerful and enjoyable build in Baldur's Gate 3.

Beginning as a Storm Sorcerer, the build then dips into Tempest Cleric for two levels, gaining access to the powerful Channel Divinity: Destructive Wrath ability. This ability allows the character to add their Wisdom modifier to the damage of any lightning or thunder spell, making spells like Shocking Grasp, Chromatic Orb, and Thunderwave absolutely devastating.

In addition to the damage boost, the Tempest Cleric levels also provide the character with access to the Thunderwave spell, which is a great crowd control option, and the Bless spell, which can be used to buff the party's attack rolls. The character will also gain proficiency in heavy armor, giving them a much-needed boost to their survivability.
